Knowledge Translation Officer
Lisa Comber has a degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario and a diploma in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Algonquin College. She has over 11 years experience within the area of learning and development in both high tech and healthcare settings. Lisa has been with the University of Ottawa Heart Institute since 2009 and is currently the Knowledge Translation Officer for the Ottawa Model for Smoking Cessation. This dynamic role has allowed Lisa to work on a variety of projects to educate health professionals on the importance of addressing tobacco addiction with their patients who smoke. She manages the program website, develops and refines educational and promotional tools, coordinates workshops and online training as well as the highly successful Annual Ottawa Conference: State of the Art Clinical Approaches to Smoking Cessation.
