Since 2009, over 500 healthcare sites across Canada including numerous inpatient, outpatient and primary care settings have joined the Ottawa Model for Smoking Cessation (OMSC) Network. Partnered sites are using a common approach when treating tobacco users in their healthcare settings.
While continuing to work in traditional settings, the OMSC has been adapted and adopted in traditional and specialty care settings across Canada, such as:
- Acute Care Hospitals |
- Mental Health Centres |
International Partners
Healthcare organizations in England, Germany, Greece, India, United States, and Uruguay have adopted the OMSC to support patients who smoke.
